FLORENCE, ITALY – The emotions of a journey through time, departing from the ancient tracks of other times, to the discovery of the most precious of treasures of the Sienese region: vintage railcars and historic steam trains will bring you along the characteristic treks through art, nature and a good palate in the areas of Crete, Amiata and Val d’Orcia.
Stops to food festivals, markets and breathtaking landscapes will allow you to discover characteristic corners of the most beautiful lands in Siena like the Fauna Park of Monte Labro, the incredible vistas in Crete and Val d’Orcia, the Parco dell’Uccellina, the Monte Amiata, and the woods and the medieval hamlet of Vivo d’Orcia. Protagonists to accompany you on this journey through art, history and the mysteries of the lands of Siena will be the train of Sant’Animo, bringing you on a route to the monumental Romanesque Abbey. The Miner’s Train will depart from the minefields of the Abbadia San Salvatore, and finally, the Treno degli Etruschi will reveal Chiusi’s ancient origins.

November 11 Steam train leaves from Siena Exhibition-Market of the truffle and arrives in S. Giovanni d’Asso
November 18 Steam train leaves from Grosseto at the exhibition-Market of the truffle and arrives in S. Giovanni d’Asso
December 2 Steam train from Siena Christmas Markets to arrive in Amiata
December 8 steam train from Siena Festival of the new oil to S. Quirico d’Orcia
December 16 Steam train leaves from Fabro 150th anniversary of the Fabro railway station
