Visitors will once again be able to explore the Vasari Corridor in the evening as the Uffizi Galleries launch a programme of special Friday openings running from 3 July to 20 November 2026.
The initiative includes 21 evening dates, allowing access to one of Florence’s most distinctive historic routes between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. The corridor, built in 1565 for the Medici family, links the Uffizi Galleries with Palazzo Pitti, crossing above the Ponte Vecchio and offering elevated views of the city centre and the Arno River.
Access will be available exclusively through accompanied visits organised by the Uffizi Galleries. The institution noted that the service consists of escorted entry rather than a guided tour.
Timed entry and ticket prices
Visits will begin at scheduled times throughout the evening: 7 p.m., 7.20 p.m., 7.40 p.m., 8 p.m., 8.20 p.m., 8.40 p.m., 9 p.m., 9.20 p.m., 9.40 p.m. and 9.50 p.m.
Tickets are subject to mandatory advance booking and availability limits. Prices are set at €20 for tickets purchased on the day of the visit and €24 for tickets bought in advance. Reduced-price admission costs €2, while free admission is available for categories entitled under national museum regulations.
Route through the museum complex
The meeting point is located at the Uffizi entrance on Piazzale degli Uffizi, next to the Loggia dei Lanzi. The route ends in Piazza Pitti after passing through the Boboli Gardens.
Although visitors will pass through parts of the Uffizi on the way to the corridor, the ticket does not include access to the museum galleries and does not permit visits to exhibition spaces.
The entire route covers approximately one kilometre, with the visit itself lasting around 35 minutes. Groups will be limited to 25 people and must remain together throughout the experience for security reasons.
Practical information
All tickets are personal, non-transferable and non-refundable. Visitors are required to present a valid identity document matching the name on the reservation and must arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled entry time.
Large bags, suitcases, trolleys, helmets and other bulky items are not permitted. Photography for personal use is allowed, but video recording is prohibited.
The Vasari Corridor is accessible to visitors with reduced mobility. Wheelchairs and walking aids can also be provided by the Uffizi Galleries, subject to availability.
The evening openings form part of a wider programme of special events and extended hours organised by the Uffizi Galleries, including participation in major cultural initiatives such as the European Night of Museums and the European Heritage Days.
