The Dukes of Urbino

The Uffizi Gallery, Renaissance is on the move

FLORENCE, ITALY – The famous double portrait of the Dukes of Urbino, autograph by Piero della Francesca, has been relocated to its historic location, inside Room 8 in the Uffizi Gallery.

Alongside the masterpiece, the works of Filippo Lippi, Paolo Uccello, Masaccio and Beato Angelico are exhibited to visitors. The new position favors the view from behind and the public’s circulation inside the room.

In the next room 9 is now placed the showcase containing two small tablets narrating the Stories of Judith and Oloferne by Sandro Botticelli.
