FLORENCE, ITALY – A brand new multimedia center for tourists was inaugurated last Friday on the first floor at the Info-Point in piazza Stazione, Florence, Italy. It is just opposite the railway station of Santa Maria Novella.
In the new room were set up audio-visual equipment, touch screens and high-definition screens. Every tourist can choose routes and itineraries to visit the city and the suggestions coming from images, videos , etc.
The projection of 3D movies will be the strength of the new Florence Info-Point: the first 3D video to be projected is Something About Florence, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Florence, the Province of Florence and the technical support of the University of Florence.
The video offers a suggestion on many aspects of Florence, places and landscapes that surround the viewer and raises new curiosity and emotions. Work on the new Info-Points have cost about 250,000 Euros and lasted six months.
