Small businesses are struggling against international crisis with the same production and turnover to +1% compared to the last 6 months of 2010. Orders fall (-0.4%) for the significant declines of foreign component (-2.3%).
Slows down the production for medium-sized enterprises (+7.3% from the second quarter 2011 to +3.1%) with best orders (+4.4%), while large firms in terms of production rise (from +6, 7% to +8.7%). Among the sectors, the textile sector flexes 1,5% after months of growth, fall even wood and furniture (-4.8%), metals (-2.6%), transport (-3.2%) and repairs (-4.3%), various manufacturers (-3.3%). Best performaces by clothing (+7.4%), footwear (+13.5%) and leather (+5.5%).
Pierfrancesco Pacini, the president of Confindustria and Unioncamere Tuscany said that “for the manufacturing sector is important the role of new investment incentives and sustenance from bank credit. It’s important to have this attitude from all other institutions, is in a synergistic way, to help the competitivenessnof the production system in Tuscany, favoring our traditional sectors and the productions with higher growth prospects in the medium and long term.”
