FLORENCE, ITALY – From June 1st it is possible to have lunch and dinner even inside the restaurants and no longer only on tables located on the street or in the gardens. But which are the restaurants and bars with the most particular environments where you can enjoy eating together with friends and family? Florence has many characteristic places and everyone can have their own favourites. We report four, each with a particular feature.

Todo modo

It is a library between Piazza Santa Maria Novella and the Lungarno where it is possible to eat a light snack or to have a cup of coffee. Among the peculiarities of the local the bentò, portable meal in box, which comes from the Japanese tradition. People usually prepare it in the morning and eat it at lunchtime. The Japanese use it for picnic or trips.

La Ménagère

From the first Florentine home store born in 1896 it was reborn today in the San Lorenzo district a concept-restaurant in a large space and a futuristic style. Small library restaurant with a cured design in Piazza Mentana, near to the Lungarno. The kitchen offers vegetarian and vegan dishes, currently prepared, with seasonal ingredients. Some of the products used for the preparation of the dishes have an organic origin or come from local companies.

Trattoria del Carmine

Eating in Trattoria means looking for traditional flavours and environments. Here we are in Oltrarno, in Piazza del Carmine and the kitchen offers dishes of the Florentine tradition like the famous steak Fiorentina. Since 1968 it preserves the flavours of the Tuscan peasant tradition.
