Lucio Corsi Brings Tuscany to Eurovision with English Subtitles

For the first time in his career, Tuscan singer-songwriter Lucio Corsi took the stage of the Eurovision Song Contest, representing Italy with an original song performed in Italian, accompanied by English subtitles. The performance, which aired last night during the semi-final, marked a significant moment for the artist from Vetulonia, in the province of Grosseto, known for his poetic lyrics, glam-rock style, and deep connection to his homeland.

Corsi, who built his reputation with songs celebrating nature, the countryside, and the surreal charm of Tuscany, chose to stay true to his language and style. However, to make his message accessible to the international audience of Eurovision, the lyrics of his song were translated and displayed in English on the screen — a first for him in such a global context.

In recent interviews, Corsi explained that his goal was to “bring Tuscany to the world,” sharing his unique artistic vision with an audience beyond Italy. The English subtitles allowed viewers from all over Europe and beyond to follow the meaning of his poetic and dreamlike lyrics, bridging the gap between local storytelling and international appreciation.

His live performance, featuring a stage setup inspired by nature and fantasy, along with his signature retro look, was warmly received by the arena audience and sparked discussions online. Many praised his ability to remain authentic while opening his music to new listeners.

Born in 1993, Lucio Corsi started his career in the Italian independent music scene and quickly gained recognition for his theatrical performances and his blend of folk, rock, and pop influences. His participation in Eurovision shines a spotlight on Tuscany’s vibrant music scene and marks a new chapter in his artistic journey.
