FLORENCE, ITALY – The firefighters of Arezzo, in Tuscany Region, intervened in the Pratantico soccer field to free a beautiful specimen of owl entangled in the fence net: unharmed, it was then released with the assistance of a veterinarian.
Among the tasks of the Italian Fire Fighters there is also saving animals. This type of these interventions represent only 2 per cent of their overall activity, but despite this, every year they manage to save about 16,000 animals, trapped in city or countryside environments.
