FLORENCE, ITALY – The first closing figures of Pitti Bimbo 84, which is coming to an end at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, converge towards a first balance of satisfaction.
«There was a decidedly positive atmosphere around the stands – says Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine – regarding the organization, quality and stylistic variety of the collections, and for the attendance of buyers that came from over 60 foreign countries, for our research projects and the scouting activities done in the world of children’s lifestyle and fashion, for special events and presentations, with an interested audience of both the press and buyers. With regard to buyer attendance, we are obviously very satisfied with the foreign participation which recorded very high levels by almost all key markets in children’s fashion: with Russia back on top of the foreign markets rank and with a growth rate of + 11%. The Italian results are proving a slight decrease, following in a certain way what happened for Pitti Uomo.»
Russia is back then, at the top of the rank of foreign markets attendance; United Kingdom (+11%), Germany (+13%), once again came out on top of the attendance table and all the countries of northern Europe as well; China (+16%), Turkey (+8%), Japan, Hong Kong and the Far East markets, more or less every country in the Middle East, and Canada; a confirmation in the attendance of buyers from the USA, while a slight decrease of the figures of France.
The first final attendance of Pitti Bimbo 84 forecasts say that buyers attendance should be about more than 6,700 visitors, of whom more than 2,400 are foreign buyers. The total number of visitors is expected to be about 10.000.
