Fragments of stone fell from the Bargello

FLORENCE, ITALY – The fall of a few small fragments of stone fell from the tower of the Bargello National Museum after the heavy rains of recent weeks and the storm on Saturday afternoon, February 22, 2014. The stones are dropped at the access via the Proconsolo.

The fall of the fragments of stone took place in the evening, when the museum was already closed. There were no damages to people or things.

It was immediately prepared the installation of a bulkhead stone guard. Today, the museum will be open and it is expected that the control operations are terminated within a couple of weeks.
