FLORENCE, ITALY – “Lucipherous”, the 7th subtropical cyclone of the season, is petering out. By Sunday morning storms will break out in Tuscany.
A significant change in the weather is forecast for tomorrow night thanks to the landfall of “Beatrice”, the long awaited end-of-August storm that will sweep away the muggy weather and will bring in rain but also cloudbursts and hail.
This year the city of Florence had the hottest summer in decades not because of the extremes temperature recorded, but mostly because the heat wave lasted more than two months without rain.
