Delio-RossiFiorentina coach Delio Rossi was fired after attacking central midfielder Adem Ljajic during his side’s 2-2 draw with Novara. An incredible episode, that took place at the “Franchi” stadium. At the 32nd minute, with the visitors ahead 2-0, Delio Rossi decided to take out Ljajic for Olivera, the young Fiorentina striker sat down on the bench and then with a gesture provoked the reaction of the coach, who hurled himself at Ljajic starting a small dust up which was fortunately ended quickly.

Fiorentina’s fight to stay in Serie A continues

Goals from German Denis in the 11th minute and Giacomo Bonaventura in the 51st gave the hosts all three points, while Fiorentina’s Stevan Jovetic had a second-half penalty saved by Andrea Consigli. The result means that Atalanta are mathematically safe, while Fiorentina’s fight to stay in Serie A continues.
