Tuscany Joins Italian Rescue Mission to Earthquake-Hit Venezuela

A team of 41 Italian firefighters is due to leave for Venezuela on Friday following the recent earthquake.

The Italian Health Ministry has extended Florence’s highest-level heat warning through Saturday June, 27.

Authorities are urging residents and visitors to take precautions as temperatures remain exceptionally high.

Two separate incidents involving public transport vehicles were reported in the Florence area. No injuries were reported.

The discovery marks the first documented Caretta caretta nest in this section of the Tuscan coast.

Temperatures are forecast to go well above seasonal averages through the weekend.

The annual event brought together activists, associations, local institutions and supporters from across the region.

Health authorities say the patient’s condition is good and have launched precautionary measures to reduce the risk of further transmission.
