Pitti Immagine Uomo returns to Florence’s Fortezza da Basso from 13 to 16 January 2026, with more than 750 brandsshowing Autumn/Winter 2026–27 menswear collections. Organisers say around 47% of exhibitors are international, underlining the fair’s role as a global meeting point for buyers and fashion media.
The 2026 winter theme: Motion
The winter editions of Pitti Immagine’s fairs share the theme Motion, presented by organisers as a way to frame the changes under way in menswear and retail. The theme also underpins the edition’s visual campaign, promoted on Pitti Uomo’s official channels.
The biggest new entry: HiBeauty, a niche-fragrance focus
A headline novelty for Pitti Uomo 109 is HiBeauty, a new area dedicated to research-led (niche) perfumery. It sits within the Futuro Maschile route and brings together a selection of independent brands spanning Europe and Asia, signalling a growing overlap between menswear retail and fragrance categories.
A redesigned Futuro Maschile and “Top Floor” route
Another change visitors will notice is the reworking of Futuro Maschile and the Piano Attico (Top Floor) spaces, which organisers present as a refresh of the fair’s contemporary/research-focused area and its visitor flow.
A new large installation in the central square
In the Fortezza’s central area, Pitti highlights a large site-specific installation, Ancient/New Site, by French architect and sculptor Marc Leschelier, commissioned with the support of PHILEO. It is designed to act as a visual “gateway” for visitors arriving at the Central Pavilion.
Guest designers and special events
The January programme spotlights several runway-format events connected to the fair, including guest-designer roles for Soshiotsuki and Hed Mayner. Separately, Pitti has announced a special event in Florence with Tokyo-based designer Shinyakozuka, in collaboration with the Japan Fashion Week Organization.
International “spotlight” areas return
Alongside the main sections, Pitti Uomo 109 confirms the return of several curated international projects and country-focused areas highlighted by organisers, including initiatives tied to Scandinavia, Japan, Korea, China, France and Spain. These zones typically combine exhibitor selections with networking and targeted programming for buyers and press.
