FLORENCE, ITALY – All Disney Stores in Italy are closing, including the Florence store in the central via Calzaiuoli. The famous international chain of stores specializing in the sale of Disney products has decided to close all its 15 stores around Italy.
More than 230 employees work in Italian Disney stores and the unions Filcams Cgil, Fisascat Cisl and Uiltucs are worried about their future, after the decision of the company.
According to what the unions say, the company has decided to abandon not only the Italian market, but the European market in general. In March, Disney announced the closure of at least 60 of its North American stores this year to focus primarily on online sales.
