FLORENCE, ITALY – According to the COVID-19 rules, from June 1st it will be possible to eat indoor the restaurants. Until then, restaurants with gardens are the best solution to have lunch or dinner out.
Here are some of the most characteristic restaurants with gardens, a good solution also for the coming summer.
Serre Torrigiani
In the heart of the Oltrarno, between Piazza della Calza and Piazza Tasso, there is a large garden that is barely visible from the outside but over a thousand square meters with hedges, flower beds and fountains. In this green oasis there is also an open restaurant for lunch, aperitifs and dinners. With a cuisine that varies from Tuscan tradition to international dishes.
Beppe Fioraia
An ancient Florentine tavern born in the early 1800s in the San Niccolò district and today a perfect restaurant for eating Tuscan foods such as meat and fried specialties. Also open for lunch and for aperitifs.
Quinoa
The Quinoa Restaurant opens in 2014 in Florence and is a 100% gluten-free restaurant. A varied menu that combines the flavours of the Tuscan tradition and those of oriental cuisine. The restaurant is immersed in an urban garden, in the spaces of a sixteenth-century cloister near to the Duomo of Florence.
Santa Rosa Bistro
The project was born in 2016, in collaboration with the Municipality of Florence, with the aim of redeveloping the public gardens. A few steps from the banks of the Arno river and from Porta San Frediano, the Santarosa is perfectly integrated into an enviable open space. You can enjoy a coffee, a slice of cake, a lunch, an aperitif or a dinner.
Buoneria
La Buoneria al Parco delle Cascine, next to the Opera theatre, has now become a point of reference in the city for those looking for a Neapolitan-inspired pizza. Large spaces and good food enhance a place where you can spend some time with family or friends. The traditional and refined cuisine satisfies even those who do not like pizza.
Le Pavoniere
Immersed in the heart of biggest park in Florence, The Cascine, surrounded by its sounds and perfumes, the Pavoniere is located in an elegant area close to the swimming pool. The menu is mainly fish, cooked and raw, based on the seasons and the freshness of the products. The pizza is baked in a wood oven.
