FLORENCE, ITALY – The Centrale del Latte d’Italia project to incorporate the Centrale del Latte di Firenze, Pistoia e Livorno (Mukki Latte) into that of Turin was authorized on Monday, June 13, 2016, by the Turin company’s board of directors.
Leftover amounts will not be paid in cash. There will also be the spin-off of the Mukki company and a new company, Centrale del Latte della Toscana, will be created and entirely controlled by Centrale del Latte d’Italia, registered and operating in Florence.
The new company will be listed on the Star segment of the Italian stock exchange and stocks will enter trading by September 30. The move marks the setting up of the third Italian milk and dairy hub after those of Granarolo and Parmalat, and will have a turnover of about 200 million euros, five production plants and 430 employees.
