FLORENCE, ITALY – During Monday’s May 18, 2015 Late Night Show, the american actor Tom Hanks taught David Letterman – in one of his last shows – the art of using a selfie stick, something Hanks’ wife has banned from their home.
“You know where they sell them Dave? They sell selfie sticks all over Florence, which was the birth place of the Renaissance,” Hanks explained.
Tom Hanks was in Florence last week for shooting the first scenes of the new film Inferno (Hell). The Oscar-winning director Ron Howard (for The Beautiful Mind), gives birth to the new chapter of the saga started with Angels & Demons and The Da Vinci Code, continuing to tell the amazing and mysterious adventures of Professor Robert Langdom, alias Tom Hanks.
After shooting in Venice set has moved in the center of Florence, between Piazza San Firenze and the Palazzo Vecchio, where Hanks have seen a lot of vendors with the new selfie stick.
