An Unexpected Snow are covering Florence

FLORENCE, ITALY – Light snow are covering lowland areas throughout the province of Florence with the exception of the Era and Elsa Valley today January 29, 2015. In the afternoon, above the 800-900 meters, snowfall could intensify to become abundant.

Due to the weather, The Civil Protection Service reminds the obligation of winter equipment (chains, etc.) on board of car and other vehicles, it recommends to drive with extreme caution.

Strong winds and high seas are forecast along coastal areas in the Tuscany and Lazio regions, and the latter will see heavy rainfall in the afternoon.
