Autumn’s soul in the kitchen in Florence

Autumn in Florence, Santa Maria NovellaFLORENCE, ITALY – Autumn’s soul in the kitchen, in Florence: from 20th September to 13th October the Grand Hotel Minerva will present some of the typical autumn classic – Florentine steak, duck, wild boar or pappardelle – with seasonal products just as fried mushrooms, grilled or sautéed, egg salad, figs, Italy grape, strawberry and “red globe”.

A festival organized to rediscover flavors and traditional recipes, and experiment with combinations – sometimes bold – by chef Sandro Pedica.

There will be traditional dishes as sausage and figs, pappardelle with little porcini, potato ravioli with wild boar ragout Mugello, Florentine steak with porcini grilled over charcoal. Some among the most extra-ordinary interpretations are about cheese cake with porcini mushrooms, muffins figs with Tuscan ham, cappuccino with porcini mushrooms and puff pastry to soak the poppy seeds.

The whole henanced with the view of the frontage of Alberti’s church of Santa Maria Novella and the whole square.
