NBA star Belinelli suggests booking trip to Italy

Marco Belinelli (Thejcgerm) - CCFLORENCE, ITALY – New Orleans Hornets’ Marco Belinelli suggests booking trip to Italy, especially to Venice, Rome, Bologna and Florence. New Orleans Hornets shooting guard is native of San Giovanni in Persiceto, outside Bologna and on the website Nola.com suggests what to do in Italy.

Florence is one of his favorite cities. Belinelli  loves steak.  “The Florentine steak is really good. I love steak in the USA, too”, said to Nola.com webiste.

Beefsteak Florentine style (Bistecca alla fiorentina) is a favorite of Tuscan cuisine and consists of a T-bone or porterhouse steak (traditionally taken from Chianina cow), grilled over a wood or charcoal fire, and seasoned with salt and, sometimes, black pepper, and olive oil.

“I like Florence. It’s very nice. They have everything. People love it there”, said Belinelli that suggests climbing the top of the Florentine Duomo, Brunelleschi’s masterpiece that crowns the church of Santa Maria del Fiore.

Belinelli was selected 18th overall in the 2007 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors. Prior to his NBA career, Belinelli played for Italy’s Virtus Bologna and Fortitudo Bologna in the Italian Lega A and the Euroleague.
