The new ACF Fiorentina player Amauri helped Fiorentina beat struggling Serie A rivals Siena 2-1 on his club debut in the Tuscan derby on Sunday. “It was a great feeling, I’m pleased to be playing again,” said Amauri after the soccer game. Fiorentina claimed their first win at home since 4 December.
In the third minute a brilliant individual goal by Stevan Jovetic “unlock” the game. He cut in from the left wing before unleashing a shot into the corner of the net past Zelijko Pegolo’s despairing dive. Fiorentina doubled their lead in the 62nd minute when Natali headed Riccardo Montolivo’s free-kick and his effort beat Pegolo.
Emanuele Calaio converted from the penalty spot following Matija Nastasic’s handball for Siena. But Fiorentina held on to beat local rivals Siena 2-1 in the Tuscan derby.
