
Pitti Uomo confirmed to be a key reference on the international fashion scene as you can see by the figures: the last winter edition of Pitti Uomo welcomed more than 30,000 visitors, more than 23,100 buyers at the last winter edition of which the 7,700 buyers (33.3% of total) from abroad, representing all major shops and department stores worldwide.
The world’s finest names in fashion choose Pitti Uomo as an ideal venue to launch their new collections and special projects and to consolidate their global strategies at the start of the season. There is also a growing demand among the exhibitors to stage special events at the Fortezza, a stunning location for meeting the world’s top buyers and members of the international press.
Here are just a few of the special projects you will see at this edition: the world premiere of Herno Laminar, a sartorial engineering project by designer Errolson Hugh with the special collaboration of Gore Tex; McQ, the contemporary line by Alexander McQueen; Tonello will be presenting its own style and interpretation of contemporary classic inside a special area at the Fortezza: the Cannoniera; the new Richard James Mayfair collection will be presented on the Lower Level of the Main Pavillion; the world premiere of Up To Be, a project focusing on coats and jackets; Piatto, a project dedicated to the world of trousers, with an installation by Alberto Narduzzi. And also the preview launch of the new Chevignon Heritage collection designed by Milan Vukmirovic.
Amongst the brands returning to Pitti Uomo have to be mentioned Chester Barrie, the noble Savile Row brand and Pepe Jeans London with an important, autonomous area inside the Fortezza. These are just a few of the many different novelties which will be on stage on January edition.
