The new Opera House in Florence is ready for the inauguration. The futuristic building conceived by Paolo Desideri and his associates study ABDR (Maria Laura Arlotti, Michele Beccu and Filippo Raimondo) will open tonight with the conductor Zubin Mehta.
The conductor of the Maggio Fiorentino, which has proven in the room horseshoe ready to host 1800 people, did not hide his enthusiasm for the new building. Even the conductors Claudio Abbado and Fabio Luisi (director of the Metropolitan Theatre in New York) early in the New Theatre will direct the Maggio musicale orchestra.
For the Italian public the direct Opening concert of the New Opera House in Florence will be broadcast on Wednesday, December 21 at 8:15 pm on Rai5.
Zubin Mehta will conduct the Leonore Overture No. 3 in C major, Op. 72 °, by Ludwig van Beethoven, followed by the premiere of Gegenliebe (requited love) for orchestra by Bussotti. The piece was specially commissioned by the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino to witness the continued focus on contemporary music and a genius loci, which is in Bussotti.
The opening concert will continue with the Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125, for soloists, chorus and orchestra by Beethoven, performed by great artists of international renown: Anja Kampe, Stella Grigorian, Michael Schade, Juha Uusitalo. Two large brand history, tradition and excellence of Florence, have decided to link their image and their name to this important inauguration.
Gucci will attend the inauguration of the new Opera House in Florence as a Concert Partner. The continuation of the evening will be signed Ferragamo, as Partners Dinner.
