One million euros to fly in Tuscany

Florence airportStrengthening the air connections to make Tuscany the third largest Italian airport. With this objective Regione Toscana are working to increase direct flights from Tuscany to the rest of the world.

 To strengthen the Tuscan Airport, making it more competitive and make Tuscany more “accessible”, the Regional Council on a proposal by the regional transport Ceccobao Luca, has allocated 1,128,000 euros to support the development of air links to and from Tuscany.

 The Board has also decided to allocate the sum of the two main realities’ of the airport region: 50% of the resources, 564,000 euros will be allocated to Galilei, while the other 50% will be reserved to Amerigo Vespucci, Florence airport . The management company of the two airports will be immediately involved to define which destinations, frequencies and types of aircraft would be more appropriate to a development perspective.
