Frescobaldi recorded a turnover of 82 mln euros
Marchesi De’ Frescobaldi, the Tuscan group famous in the world for its prestigious wines of quality, recorded in 2011 a turnover of 82 million euros, an increase of +4% compared to 79.6 million euros in 2010 . The realization of this result has accounted for over 60% share in exports, especially to Russia and Asia.

Tuscan woman dies in the waters of Florida
A woman aged 47 died in Florida, while she was in the waters of Key West, overwhelmed by a tidal wave. The victim’s name was Paola Falco, lived in Figline Valdarno (Florence). She worked in the Tuscan capital as a manager of an insurance agency. She left with her husband for a holiday in the United States. According to a preliminary reconstruction, a tidal wave of 8 meters was overwhelmed with another swimmer, killing them both.
Joint ventures Tuscany-Tunisian regions
Enrico Rossi, President of the Tuscany Region (Italy), said Tuscany companies are interested in investing and creating joint ventures in such Tunisian regions as Sousse and Kasserine. Speaking at a meeting held recently in Florence on “Cooperation for Democracy between Tunisia and Tuscany,” he reviewed the opportunities offered by these regions in the health, agriculture, basic infrastructure and manufacturing industries sectors.
Rain forecast for Easter Sunday, sun on Monday
The weather will be wet on Easter Sunday with showers and thunderstorms in the morning. Francesco Nucera of 3bmeteo.com, reported that the rain on Easter morning will fall over Friuli, Veneto, Mantua, Emilia Romagna, the northern ridge, Tuscany, Marche, Umbria, Campania, Calabria especially on the Tyrrhenian side and northern Sicily and North.

Tuscany promotes Giglio after the Costa tragedy
The cruise ship Costa Concordia leans on its side after running aground the tiny Tuscan island of Giglio, Italy, Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012. Since that day the operations to remove fuel will end tomorrow evening. It was announced today by the mayor of the island of Giglio, Sergio Ortelli, who is in Florence to take part in a press conference aimed at promoting tourism in the island.
Casentino golf club will be implemented
Casentino Golf Club, on the boarders of the Casentino National Park, one hour by car from Florence, will be implemented. Works are in progress on the hole 3, 4, 9 and 10. They will be ready for seeding at the end of August 2012. Golfers will play these holes next spring 2013. The course to that date will be made by 15 holes.
