Record in Florence, 12 million visitors in 2011
In 2011, for the first time, tourists in the province of Florence overcomes 12 million overnight stays (+8.4% compared to 2010). The only city of Florence, had over 8 million visitors and the rest of the province more than 4 million.
More than 6 million tourists in nine months
From January 1 to September 30 in Florence, there were almost 6 million and 340 thousand visitors. The peak in the first nine months, was there in April with over 800 thousand presences, the 28.45% increase over the same month in 2010.
