Corporacion America to buy Florence and Pisa airports
Argentina’s Corporacion America has launched takeover bids for the companies that manage Italy’s Florence and Pisa airports. On Feb. 27 it acquired a 33.4 percent stake in ADF, the company that manages the Florence airport, for 40 million euros.

New flight Florence-Prague (VIDEO)
New direct air link between Florence and Prague. The flight will be carried out from April 1 by Czech Airlines with four weekly flights and prices from € 119 round trip. After the “Arrival hall”, opened in December 2011, it’s made operational the new “Departure hall” of 2,600 square meters: the official opening is scheduled for next July 24. Marinò Biagio, CEO of Adf, has underlined the company’s desire to speed: “We wanted to start the operation of the new hall check in advance and we did it”.

New flights to Paris, Madrid and Barcelona
From March 25 new direct flights will be enabled between the airport of Florence Amerigo Vespucci and the cities of Paris and Madrid. The agreement between Vueling and Florence Airport was signed yesterday. Travelers will enjoy a special rate of 39.99 euros each way.
Local governments fight on the new airport runway
The Florentine politics fights on the new runway for the airport of Florence. ADF, the management company of the airport, few weeks ago said that the only sustainable solution was to build a new runway parallel to the highway A11. But the president of the province, Andrea Barducci preferring the oblique runaway, also endosed by the governor of Tuscany Enrico Rossi.
