After the White Night on (until July 1, 2012) the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi presents a new site-specific installation by Italian artist, Loris Cecchini, consisting of a group of large suspended sculptural shapes that will create a new dialogue with the perfect geometrical shapes of Palazzo Strozzi, a symbol of the Florentine Renaissance.

Zubin Mehta inaugurated the 75th edition of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino proposing one of the masterpieces of the musical culture of Central Europe, the Rosenkavalier by Richard Strauss and Hugo von Hofmannsthal, is missing from Florence since 1989. After the White Night, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence back in the streets for the arrival of the 75th Festival.

If you are planning to visit Florence during the next week end, including the 30th of April and the 1st of May, International Workers Day, the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery will be exceptionally open on Monday April 30th and on May 1st the Bargello Museum, Palazzo Davanzati and the Boboli Garden will allow the entrance at a special price of 1 euro.
