Fiorentina now knows the path that awaits them in the group stage of the UEFA Conference League. The calendar, released on Friday, sets the opening match in Florence on Thursday, October 2, when the Viola will host Czech side Sigma Olomouc at 9 p.m.
The schedule continues with Rapid Vienna-Fiorentina on October 23 (6:45 p.m.), Mainz-Fiorentina on November 6 (6:45 p.m.), and a home match against AEK Athens on November 27 (9 p.m.). In December, Stefano Pioli’s team will host Dynamo Kyiv on the 11th (6:45 p.m.) before closing the group stage away at Lausanne on December 18 (9 p.m.).
Italian media judged the draw as favorable overall. Fiorentina avoided some of the strongest clubs in the competition and will not have to face long or complex trips, which should help manage the busy autumn schedule. Still, matches in Vienna and Mainz are expected to be demanding, while AEK Athens brings the experience of a team used to European competitions. Dynamo Kyiv, despite recent difficulties, remains a respected opponent. On balance, commentators see the group as within Fiorentina’s reach, provided the team maintains focus and avoids underestimating their rivals.

The club also confirmed important news off the pitch. Striker Moise Kean, who scored 25 goals last season, has signed a revised deal with Fiorentina. The new agreement maintains the contract’s original duration until 2029 but increases both salary—now set at €4.5–5 million per season including bonuses—and the release clause, which rises from €52 to €62 million.
Club president Rocco Commisso expressed satisfaction with the renewal, calling it a sign of continuity and ambition for the team. Kean himself said he feels gratitude towards the city of Florence and its supporters, and is determined to build on last season’s success as the Viola prepare for domestic and European challenges.
