The roar of Formula 1 engines will return to the Mugello Circuit in Tuscany with the Historic Grand Prix of Italy, scheduled for October 2–4, 2026. The event, which celebrates iconic cars and drivers from the past, will mark the first edition of what is set to become a new motorsport tradition in the region.
Organized by HVM Racing, a leading international promoter of historic racing events, the Grand Prix will take place under the aegis of the Automobile Club d’Italia and in collaboration with the Ferrari-owned Mugello Circuit, located in Scarperia, just a short drive from Florence.
This inaugural edition will focus on Ferrari’s legendary decade from 1996 to 2006, a period that saw the Italian team dominate Formula 1 under the leadership of seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher. During those ten years, Ferrari claimed 87 race wins, five drivers’ titles, and six constructors’ championships, with other standout drivers including Eddie Irvine, Rubens Barrichello, and Felipe Massa.
Around ten cars from that era will be showcased and take to the track, giving fans a rare opportunity to see—and hear—these iconic machines in action. The event promises to be a highlight for motorsport enthusiasts and a tribute to one of the most successful periods in Ferrari’s history.
