FLORENCE, ITALY – A street art work to remember the football player Davide Astori, the ACF Fiorentina captain who died in March 2018.
The artwork was inaugurated today in via Canova: created on a 240 square meter wall, it bears the signature of Giulio Rosk and was commissioned by the Cure2Children foundation onlus in collaboration with the Municipality of Florence and in partnership with Esselunga.
The mural portrays a smiling falconer wearing the purple shirt and the message that Davide left: “Every child has the right to play his game“.
The project was made possible thanks to donations for the dedicated crowdfunding campaign, which started on March 30th. The goal of 30,000 euros has been exceeded but the fundraising will remain open until Monday May 31 to raise more money to be allocated exclusively to the Cure2Children project – dedicated to memory by Davide Astori – who for over 12 years has been treating children with cancer and serious haematological diseases in developing countries.
