Three Tuscan islands will become Covid free

FLORENCE, ITALY – The islands of Capraia, Giglio and Giannutri will become Covid free in the coming days. The government’s anti-Covid vaccination plan for the smaller islands will also involve some Tuscan islands.

In these days the government’s plan for a Covid free summer will involve the entire resident population of Capraia, providing for the execution of 180 vaccine administrations.

“This is news that I received with great pleasure and for which I thanked the government for having included Capraia among the Covid-free minor islands”, comments the president of the Tuscany Region, Eugenio Giani.

Capraia is one of the seven main islands of the Tuscan archipelago. Although, the largest island of Tuscany, Isola d’Elba, follows the vaccination plan of the country. The islands of Giglio, with 1391 residents and Giannutri, with a population of only 27 people, will also become Covid free island soon.
