FLORENCE, ITALY – Italians not only inspire businesses with their food culture (take the Sophia Loren Original Italian Food restaurant for example), they also get inspired themselves.
On April 26, Starbucks opened their doors and became the first Starbucks to open in Tuscany. American coffee arrives at I Gigli in Campi Bisenzio (via San Quirico 165). The store, the first Starbucks in Tuscany and the twelfth in Italy, will be managed by Percassi. The store covers a total area of 160 square meters on a single floor, with 55 seats and a private outdoor area with another 25 seats.
Starbucks with over 33,000 stores worldwide was the first specialty coffee retailer in the world. And from now on, even Tuscans will be able to start enjoying a cup of Arabica coffee or the classic Frappuccino.
When Starbucks, in collaboration with Percassi, opened its first store in Italy in 2018, it paid tribute to Italian culture both in the design of the spaces and through the gastronomic offer, combining the Milanese tradition and culture. The same criteria was adopted for the first Starbucks in Florence: the design of the new store therefore pays homage to refined Florentine flavors, with the iconic Starbucks logo immersed in warm and welcoming wooden interiors.
Vincenzo Catrambone, Starbucks General Manager at Percassi, said: “We are thrilled to bring the Starbucks Experience to Florence and to become part of the local community. Our priorities are and will continue to be the safety and well-being of our customers and partners. In fact, the team is scrupulously following the latest information provided by government and health authorities to ensure the safety of all”.
In accordance with the latest government guidelines, the shop will only carry out a take away service. The seats cannot be used, but customers will have the opportunity to place the order inside the store.
