FLORENCE, ITALY – The capital city of Tuscany registers an average of 10.000 bike rentals per day. Mobike, the bike sharing service, to get around in Florence, Bagno a Ripoli, Scandicci and Sesto Fiorentino, is very popular for residents and tourists.
The service began operation on August 2, 2017. Every citizen or tourist can download the free application from the Apple Store or Google Play. With the APP, it’s possible to browse the map locating the bicycles and also book (maximum 15 minutes earlier) a bike.
Then, simply clicking the unlock button on the APP and scanning the QR code to unlock the bike. Finished the use, citizens and tourists can leave the Mobike anywhere in the city, as long as they do not obstruct the traffic. It’s important just remember to lock the bike…
The basic rate of use for a period of 30 minutes is 30 cents; the initial deposit is 1 euro.

From today the basic rate of use for a period of 30 minutes is 50 cents. Subscriptions are active with Mobike Pass: residents and tourists can use bikes for a month at a cost of 5 euro, 10 euro for 90 days, 180 days at 50 euros, up to the annual subscription to 100 euros.
