FLORENCE, ITALY – Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla will spend in Italy the period from 31 March to 5 April 2017. The British royal will begin the visit in Italy from Florence on March 31, where they will celebrate the centenary of the British Institute.
In Florence, Prince Charles will receive the award Renaissance Man 2017, awarded by the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi. In this occasion, the heir to the British throne will give his only public speech of the whole trip.
Also in Florence Prince Charles and Camilla Duchess will be able to enjoy some of the region’s culinary delights. Carlo and Camilla will participate to an event in Palazzo Pitti to underline the commitment of the Foundation presided by Carlo for the promotion of wool, sustainable and biodegradable fiber.
After Florence, the journey will continue in Vicenza, Herculaneum, Rome and Amatrice, recently hit by the earthquake. In Rome, the British royals also meet Pope Francis.
