FLORENCE, ITALY – Night of concerts and celebration for the New Year’s Eve 2017 in Florence, Italy. Free entrance to all concerts.
The big event will be the concert of the Italian artist Marco Mengoni at Piazzale Michelangelo, following a series of cover bands.
The other piazzas selected to welcome the new tear are piazza San Lorenzo, piazza della Signoria, piazza del Carmine, piazza dell’Isolotto and Piazza Gino Bartali (Gavinana).
According to the tradition of the late years, piazza Signoria will be dedicated to classical music: the Florentine Chamber Orchestra and the Chinese Symphony Orchestra of Sichuan, directed by Giuseppe Lanzetta, will play works by Rossini, Bizet, Strauss and Offenbach (10pm-1.30am).
Gospel will be on stage in piazza San Lorenzo, with a series of internationally acclaimed ensembles (10pm-1am) while Piazza del Carmine will swing to the notes of the Dinamitri Jazz Folklore band, ranging from jazz to Afro-American blues and bebop (10pm-1.45am).
A free shuttle bus network will be guaranteed for the occasion. Details are available on the Ataf website.
