FLORENCE, ITALY – Most major Italian museums will be open on Easter Sunday and Monday, with those that usually close on Monday making an exception for visitors over the holiday.
The Florentine State museums, including the Uffizi and the Accademia gallery, will maintain normal opening hours of 8:15 until 18:50 on Easter Sunday.
Uffizi, Galleria dell’Accademia, Boboli Gardens (with Bardini Gardens, Museo degli Argenti, Costume Gallery and Porcelaine Museum), San Marco Museum will be exceptionnaly open on Monday, March the 28th. Bargello Museum and Medici Chapels will be open on Sunday and Monday from 8.15am to 5pm.
Palazzo Vecchio will be open from 9am to 11pm and Galileo Museum will open every day from 9.30am to 6pm (also on Tuesday). Also Palazzo Medici Riccardi will be regularly open from 8.30am to 7pm.
Even in Rome all major state and civic museums will remain open throughout the Easter holidays. In Venice the Accademia gallery will maintain its normal hours on Easter Sunday and Monday. Therefore, the museum will be open from 8:15 until 19:15 on Easter Sunday (last entrance 18:15) and 8:15 until 14:00 on Easter Monday (last entrance 13:00).
