FLORENCE, ITALY – The Florence project for Expo2015 was unveiled on December 3rd, 2015 at the headquarters of Regione Toscana. It’s called I_Dome: outside it will have the shape and architectural proportions of Brunelleschi’s Dome, with materials and contemporary techniques, within the structure will contain technology that will show the Florentine know-how.
I_Dome , eight feet high and six wide, will be installed in the historic center of Florence for the duration of Expo2015 (from May 1 to October 31, 2015), then will be taken “on tour” in major international events .
The multimedia dome, designed by Alessandro Moradei with Elena Mari, is a project by PromoFirenze, leader for Expo2015 on Florentine territory according to the City of Florence, Tuscany Region and the Chamber of Commerce of Florence. The construction work will be overseen by Machina.
