FLORENCE, ITALY – Fabio Chiantini, Florentine graphic, is the winner of the International contest launched in July to create a new brand of Florence.
Chiantini won out over 2,400 participants and more than 5,000 proposals logo. Chinatini’s project includes the name of the city in four languages, within a game of initials that invokes the word Florence.
The new logo was unveiled by the Commissioner for economic development Sara Biagiotti, in Palazzo Vecchio, during a ceremony in Sala d’Arme yesterday.
The new brand will not replace the lily (giglio in Italian) of Florence, but it will be used for the national and international promotion of Florence.
