FLORENCE, ITALY – A Vietnamese representative office was inaugurated in Italy’s Tuscany region on September 17. The office, located at Tuscany region’s economic promotion agency, will play an important role in exchanging information about economics, trade and investment between Vietnam and Tuscany and helping businesses seek investment opportunities.
At a meeting with Tuscany Region Governor Enrico Rossi the same day, Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son praised Tuscany and the Vietnamese Embassy in Italy for opening the office which will act as a bridge between businesses to boost economic, trade and investment cooperation.
Son said he hopes the Tuscany regional administration and the Governor will create favourable conditions for the office to operate effectively for the benefit of business cooperation between the two countries.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Hoang Quoc Vuong also expressed his belief that the opening of the office will give fresh impetus to elevating Vietnam-Italy economic and trade ties to a higher level.
For his part, Mr Rossi described Vietnam as one of the most dynamic economies in Asia and a strategic springboard for Italian businesses to expand overseas markets. He said the Vietnamese office will help boost connectivity and cooperation between the two countries in the world fast-changing economic environment. (Vov)
