FLORENCE, ITALY – 35-specific projects for the future of the Cascine, by 2013 to change the face of the historical park of the city and make it one of the main places of attraction in the Florence area. The City Council approved in its last meeting the resolution that makes 35 proposals integral part of the Masterplan, the act of address by which the council intends “to recover the park inch by inch”, as explained the mayor Matteo Renzi, presenting the resolution.
The proposals provide for a total investment of 25 million euros and include all aspects of the new life of the Cascine: the visitor center to be born to the former stables at the entrance telematics control access, from the catwalk to the Arno linking the Cascine Argingrosso, new car parks, fitness trails for the new restaurant at the former club Central Park (while Meccanò discoclub will be cut down), the new signs to the golf course with 18 holes; investments on public green hedges armies along the line 1 tram, from the children’s playground at Pavoniere, to apply for and Mulina Visarno.
