FLORENCE, ITALY – Back to Tuscany this summer, “MelodiadelVino” (Wine’s melody), a festival dedicated to excellences of wine together with concerts of the best international classical musicians. Notes of violin and piano will invade Tuscan villas and castles, as well as wineries made by some famous architects.
“MelodiadelVino” will take place from 26 June to 7 July 2012. The Festival, founded on the footprint of its twin french “Grands Crus Musicaux” is proposed as a virtual bridge between excellences of Tuscany and France. Creators of this very original format is master Marc Laforet, artistic director of both event,s and Michel Gotlib, childhood friend of master Laforet, wine-lover and presidente of “MelodiadelVino”.
The festival is a journey through the magic of music: five provinces of Tuscany (Florence, Massa Carrara, Grosseto, Siena and Livorno) where to discover the most beautiful wine estates in the region.
The 2012 program offers six concerts of classical music with a wine tasting before every performance. It begins June 26th at Villa Panna in the town of Scarperia with “Melodiadell’Acqua” (Water’s melody), a special concert by the duo piano/violin Jascha Nemtsov (Russia) and Kolja Blacher (Germany).
The second concert will take place June 28th at Villa Malaspina, in Fosdinovo (Massa Carrara) and it will see the first of two performances of the piano teacher Laforet. On June 30 “MelodiadelVino” moves in the province of Grosseto, in the Rocca Frassinello estate (Gavorrano). There will still be at the piano and violin Laforet the young and talented Sayaka Shoji (Japan). The fourth stage is always held in province of Grosseto, on the estate of Montemassi Roccastrada. After the wine tasting, the audience can enjoy the exhibition at the piano by Laure Favre-Kahn (France) on violin and Nemanja Radulovic (Serbia). Then the show will be in Montalcino (Siena), in Castello Banfi Poggio alle Mura, on the evening of July 5th, with russian Alexander Kniaziev’s cello. The festival closes in Suvereto (Livorno), in the Moretti family estate: “Petra”. Here is the only Italian artist to perform “Melodiadelvino”, tuscan Andrea Lucchesini.
