Villa Strozzi becomes the forest of fairy tales

Villa StrozziThe gardens of Villa Strozzi, on the south-west of Florence, becomes the forest of fairy tales. The project is named “The Wood storyteller” and it is an initiative of Gucci, the City of Florence, Italy, and the department of economics, engineering, science and technology, agricultural and forestry of the University of Florence.

The project involves the construction of three different routes reserved for educational and teaching children to help them discover the park in a fun and unusual issues of environmental sustainability and value of heritage and landscape.

The first step, which will be opened in the next spring, will be the “Path of Remembrance”, a journey that will lead young visitors to discover the structure of the park and historical figures, curiosities and events related to it.

With the “Natural Path” will be created a route for the knowledge of ecological processes and temporality of the seasons. The “Path Technology” will aim to stimulate the children’s hearing, tactile and visual, dexterity and creative ability, but also to educate about the operation of mechanisms, machinery and renewable energy sources.
