Poggio Valicaia, a verdant oasis of art
The Park of Poggio Valicaia is set in the hills to the south west of Florence in the municipality of Scandicci. It was once an extensive, privately-owned farm but when it was donated to the town, it was turned into a public park. Bad summer for tourism in Tuscany
“For the first time in the history of Italian tourism” in August tourist reservations in hotels decreased 1.1%, with a -3% of Italians and +2.1% of foreigners, said Bernabo’ Bocca, the president of Federalberghi which groups Italian hoteliers, commenting monthly data released by the federation. July and August together recorded a -6% in Italians and +1.1% in foreigners.
Frecciarossa, two new daily trips Florence-Milan
Florence and Milan sre getting closer and closer with Frecciarossa. Two new daily trips during peak hours, with an intermediate stop in Bologna, connecting from 9 September the two capitals of Italian fashion.
