Fiorentina used two goals from Stevan Jovetic to open the season with a 2-1 winning start against a weakened Udinese at the Artemio Franchi stadium in the firs saturday match of the Italian Serie A. Fiorentina trainer Rossi attacks Ljajic, fired
Fiorentina coach Delio Rossi was fired after attacking central midfielder Adem Ljajic during his side’s 2-2 draw with Novara. An incredible episode, that took place at the “Franchi” stadium. Season’s end for Fiorentina’s Amauri
Fresh out of their away win against AS Roma, Fiorentina have to contend with several key players’ injuries. Subbing for Cerci 9 minutes into the second half, Italian-Brazilian midfielder Amauri suffered an abductor tendon lesion. With a 3-week prognosis ahead of him, Amauri is therefore off the cards until season’s end. Placing their hopes in Amauri to avert relegation, Fiorentina also have to contend with Cerci’s injury.
