Florence to host the Global Pound Conference

Florence Global Pound to arrive at La Pergola

FLORENCE, ITALY – The Florence Global Pound Conference (GPC) event is part of an international series of events taking place in approximately 40 cities and 31 countries. Promoted by the Florence Chamber of Commerce it will be in Florence on June 9, 2017 at the teatro della Pergola.

Florence Global Pound is a unique opportunity for legal directors of corporations, lawyers, judges, mediators, arbitrators, academics and influencers to obtain comparable and actionable data about how to improve commercial dispute resolution and access to justice in the 21st Century.

Whether to improve legal spend, management time, business relationships, risk management, brand management or as part of a corporate social responsibility commitment, the Florence Global Pound event is a unique opportunity for disputes resolution stakeholders to become involved in this historical and ambitious network, as well as to network and meet key thinkers involved in the field.

The Florence Global Pound event is organized by IMI, a non-profit public interest initiative to drive transparency and high competency standards into mediation practice across all fields, worldwide.

It is scheduled with four meeting sessions and discussions groups between 5 Stakeholder Groups involved in commercial disputes. The goal of the Global Pound Conference Series is to create a conversation about what can be done to improve access to justice and the quality of justice around the world in civil and commercial conflicts.

The approach taken involves engaging all stakeholders in the field of dispute prevention and resolution worldwide via locally-based events. The events will gather data intended to enable the dispute resolution market and all participants to consider whether there are reasons (and if so how) to adapt existing services to be optimally aligned to disputants’ needs and means.
