Florence in mourning for London attack victims

FLORENCE, ITALY – Flags at half-mast all day from the balcony of the Palazzo Vecchio in token of heartfelt condolence to the pain that struck the British people for the terrorist tragedy caused by the attack on Wednesday in London.

In the deadly attack a man driving a sport utility vehicle crushed pedestrians on Westminster Bridge, then stabbed and killed a police officer outside Parliament.

Five people are dead, including the assailant and a police officer. About 40 others were wounded.

Thursday 30 and Friday, March 31, Florence will host the G7 of culture. After the London attack, the authorities took stock of the situation to be arranged even better against the terrorism.
