Firefighters saved a cat by giving it oxygen

FLORENCE, ITALY – The Florence Firefighters (Vigili del Fuoco) saved a cat from death by giving it oxygen on Monday May 9, 2016.

The cat was rescued from a burning apartment in via Mezzetta (in the center of the city), where two Carabinieri police also saved a 41-year-old woman.

Firefighters found the cat unconscious on the landing outside the front door and revived it by applying an oxygen mask and then giving the cat water.

The police and the woman all suffered smoke inhalation due to the burns.
