FLORENCE, ITALY – The Porretta Soul Festival (July 17-20, 2014), founded by Graziano Uliani, is in its 27th year. The town is between Florence and Bologna.
In the 2014 edition 15 piece Muscle Shoals All Star Band including original Swampers David Hood and Jimmy Johnson, Mickey Buckins, Clayton Ivey, Will McFarlane, Marie Tomlinson Lewey, Cindy Richardson Walker, Carla Russell, Lynn Williams and the horns will perform at the Porretta Soul Festival in Italy.
Confirmed singers are the great Denise LaSalle, Jimmy “Wet Willie” Hall, Carla “Kozmic Mama” Russell ,Cheack Rodgers, Theo Huf, Toni Green, Jerry Jones (Brothers Unlimited) & Chilly Bill Rankin , Vaneese Thomas, Guitar Shorty, Capital Strokes feat. Randy Roberts, Frank Bey & Anthony Paule Band, Blues Therapy (Greece), Quincy Avenue Rhythm Band, Sam Paglia Trio and many more.
